In the Deluxe Edition, a Federal return is currently 39.99, and a State return is 36.99.
If you chose to pay your fees out of the Federal refund (the refund processing service), that has an additional service fee of 39.99 (44.99 for California filers, where it is bundled with "Premium Services.") If you chose that method, then a temporary bank account is opened in your name at an intermediary bank. That intermediary bank receives the funds from the IRS, subtracts your fees, then sends the rest on to you in a second direct deposit. Then the intermediary bank closes your temporary account.
If you haven't already filed, you can remove that option and pay upfront with a credit/debit card or a prepaid card you can buy in many stores.
