I owed both federal and PA state income tax in 2024. Is that recorded/deductible in 2025 taxes?

Federal paid $4611 and PA state paid $1556 in April 2025 from 2024 income taxes.

Federal tax paid is not deductible and is not reported on your tax return.

State tax paid is deductible on your Federal return if you itemize your deductions and opt for state and local income taxes instead of state and local taxes (SALT).
