I owed $250 for the state of Indiana. I paid it on April 14th then paid again for auto payment I had set up and forgot on April 15th. So how can I get one payment back

You will have to contact the Indiana Department of Revenue https://www.in.gov/dor/.

likely the state will catch it and refund the extra payment. You could always call the state
