I called and spoke to a representative who, after being on the active call for 20 minutes, told me she was unable to process the refund. I have yet to file, and I am being asked to confirm my identity in order to submit my tax return, but somehow processing a payment before identity verification and actual tax filing submission is acceptable? This is absolutely absurd.
