I only want to file Federal. I have already registered my free version, so don't have the "delete" option next to my State status. What do I do? I have to file state sep

Select the option to mail in your state return.  Since you are past the point to delete the state return, you can select paper file so that the return does not e-file.  Then, you can mail in the return at your convenience.  This FAQ provides instructions on how to do this (see option #2 in the FAQ):  https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3374295
