I worked with a Tax expert in May 2021 to confirm that my amended federal return was done correctly.

We have applied for financial aid for my college age daughter using the FAFSA and received a message that the application was undergoing an audit due to having an amended return. 

I must provide a copy of my original 2021 federal tax return and a copy of my amended 2021 federal tax return.  When I look at the returns available on Turnotax I only see the amended federal tax return, not the original return.  I need assistance so that the original federal return can be recovered so I can submit both returns to the college student aid office.

Sorry ... if you did not save a copy of the original return BEFORE you amended it then the tax file was permanently overwritten by the amended return.

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.
