I need to select the you as dependent box on my 1040. How do I update this on my 1040 form

If you have NOT filed the 2023 tax return, to edit, add or delete a dependent on your tax return you need to click on My Info when using the TurboTax online editions.

If you are referring to entering yourself as a dependent on the tax return, that is only allowed if you can be claimed as a dependent on someone else's tax return.  

If you cannot be claimed as a dependent on someone else's return then you do NOT claim yourself as a dependent on your tax return.
