I need to reduce state interest income but the adjustment screen only allows a positive number for the adjustment.

Splitting interest income earned between states due to residency change.

Each state screen for part-year is different. Some break down each item while others are just a melting pot. Can you clarify which states are giving you trouble?

When I enter the adjustments in the PA form, the lower numbers are ignored and the entire amount of interest from both states remains in the tax calculation.  How do you get the PA adjustment to stick?

Note: My problem with the PA form is for TurboTax Deluxe Download.  The partial year adjustments are not sticking and calculating for interest or for dividends.

I need to reduce state interest income but the adjustment screen only allows a positive number for the adjustment.

In testing this, the total interest entered in my Federal Return shows on the Interest Worksheet for Pennsylvania.

However, the amount of interest carried over to PA-40, Line 2, was adjusted properly (in this case, non-resident amount).

If you entered the time you lived in PA, you should see an adjusted amount here.
