Why do you think you need it? You only need 2020 AGI in order to e-file a 2021 tax return. And e-filing is now permanently closed for 2021, so entering your 2020 AGI will not help you. The only way to file a 2021 tax return now is by mail. You have to print it, sign and date it in ink, and mail it in.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
If you need your 2020 AGI for some other reason, then you need to look at line 11 of your 2020 Form 1040, or get your AGI from a transcript.
You can get a free transcript of your past return from the IRS:
https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
And if you have not printed out your "online" 2020 tax return (You Must do so every year...for easy access and safekeeping).
Yeah....you have to actually START thru a number of pages of all the initial Q&A for the 2022 stuff before the left menu (with Tax Home) shows up. Only then can you scroll down to the prior year documents (assuming you are logged into the correct account and did NOT use the desktop software for that year).
TTX has been doing the Same Thing for the last few years when the new software starts up.
A pain....but it is what it is.
