You say you have to finish the return and then ask if you can amend the return.   You can only amend if you have already finished and filed your return.  

So, which do you need to do, finish and file the return or amend an already filed return?   The answer is YES - you can, to either question, but we need to know the current status of the return so we can give you the correct instructions.   Did you already e-file and if so, was the return accepted?
