I need to file an extension I think. I don't have the money to pay my taxes owed and I don't have the money to pay turbo tax at this time. does turbo hold my filing?
can i stop here and return when i have the money without losing the filing info already prepared?

You can leave the program at any time and your tax data is saved as it is entered. Click on My Account at the top of the program screen and then click on Save & Sign Out. Just remember your user ID and password so you can return to the account at a later date.
Filing a tax return extension, Form 4868, will give you an extra 6 months from the due date of April 18, 2017 to file your tax return. However, any taxes owed must be paid on or before April 18, 2017 to avoid a late payment penalty. The extension only give you an extra six months to file the tax return, not an extra six months to pay any taxes owed.
