here's another way

go to www.irs.gov/payments and "Make a payment"

select Reason: Extension

pay any amount ($5.00 will do}.   your request is automatically approved.

Make a note of your payment  amount so you can claim credit for that.

You haven't asked a specific question about extensions but the quickest way to file an extension is to use TurboTax Easy Extension to file an extension online and you can use this link below -

Also, if you are getting a refund, then you don't have to file an extension.  If you had a more specific question, then post that question.
