I need to file a final 1040 form for my mom who died in 2017. Can i file her final 2017 form 1040 using 2016 forms so I don't have have wait a year to file it?

I have all of her taxable/non taxable income and federal withholding and the rest of the estate has been resolved.

Since the date of passing was in 2017 then you have to file a 2017 tax return next year.
