NO ONE else can remove a dependent from your tax return. We cannot see your tax return, nor can we access it in order to enter or remove information. This is "do-it-yourself" software.
Did you already e-file? If you already e-filed, you will have to wait until the IRS opens and see if they accept or reject your e-file after January 26. f it is rejected, then YOU can go to MY INFO yourself and change the information you entered. We cannot do that for you.
If the IRS accepts the return with the dependent entered, you will have to wait for the return to be fully processed and then amend---in late February.
If "Tina" is cannot be claimed as your dependent, and your return is accepted first, then any other tax return claiming her will be rejected and either Tina or the person who can claim her will have a problem.
