I need help e-filing my return. It tells me something was not transfered from the federal forms to the state and now they want this info put on the state. I'm lost as to what they want

Just skip W2s because you have none.  Read the message carefully to see what they want you to add to the state.  There could be many types of information and the error message will tell you which one.
