I missed the Oct 15 deadline, but I already paid $104.98 for delux online (just didn't press "file"). Can I get a refund and use the computer version to file 2018 tax?

If you completed the 2018 tax return using the TurboTax online editions but just did not file, then print and mail the 2018 tax return as you can no longer e-file a 2018 return.

To access your current or prior year tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

Print, sign, date and mail the tax return to the IRS.  Include with the mailed return any forms W-2 and 1099 which have taxes withheld.  Go to this IRS website for mailing addresses - https://www.irs.gov/filing/where-to-file-paper-tax-returns-with-or-without-a-payment

There are no penalties for filing a tax return after the due date if filing for a tax refund or there are no taxes owed.

I paid the $104.98 and filed an extension for 2018 and forgot to get them done by the due date so now I am just trying to get the 2018 taxes done. when I was trying to sign into my account it took me to where I can start but said I needed to pick a version and I picked the deluxe version for tax year 2018 and I had to pay another $79.95 which I thought was already paid with the $104.98 but even though I paid again it still does not take me to where I can do the taxes.

If you purchased the 2018 Deluxe desktop edition, then you have to download the software and install the program on a personal tax return.

With the 2018 TurboTax program installed and started, open the tax data file you downloaded by clicking on the File menu at the top left of the desktop program screen.  Click on Open Tax Return.  Browse to the location where you downloaded the tax data file.

A 2018 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed.

If you paid for one of the 2018 online editions and have already purchased the 2018 desktop edition to complete your tax return, contact TurboTax support and request a refund of the payment for the desktop edition.

To contact TurboTax customer service/support use their contact website during business hours. If the problem concerns any type of refund for fees, use the key words billing issues and do Not use the word Refund or you will get a phone number for tax refunds.
