I mess up on my 2019 taxes. I clicked head of household instead of single. Both state and federal has been accepted. Is there any way I can correct the mistakes?

If it let you file Head of Household you must have qualified for it.  Do you claim a child?

Then you must have qualified to claim Head of Household .  It doesn't mean you own a house.  Just that you have a qualifying dependent.

if you have one or more qualifying children then you can file as head of household unless you are married.

one child must be
1) be any of the following a) under age 19 at the end of the year b) a full-time student and under age 24 at end of the year c) or any age if totally and permanently disabled
2) have the same principal abode as taxpayer for more than ½ the tax year.
3) child hasn’t provided over ½ his support
4) No joint return with the exception for a joint return filed only to claim a refund of tax withheld when neither spouse is required to file and no tax liability would exist for either spouse if separate returns were filed
5) Not be a qualifying child of another taxpayer with a higher priority under the tie-breaker rules

So I'm guessing once it's already submitted you can't change it?....

Why do you need to change it?  Yes you can get Head of Household.

If you do need to change an accepted return for something you have to mail in an Amended 1040X return.  But only after the first original return has been fully processed and you get the first refund.
