If you are expecting a refund, you can check on the progress of your refund.

If you check at “Where’s My Refund?” at IRS.gov, your file by mail return will show as Return Received within 4 weeks after you mailed your return.

Per the IRS, refund processing time is 6 – 8 weeks from the date the IRS receives your return.
