As it appears you are preparing a return for a Trust, Trusts can only be prepared in TurboTax Business. When you begin a trust account in TurboTax Business, you will be asked whether the return is for a trust or an estate. After selecting trust, one of the questions you will be asked is who is the Trustee of the trust. All of these introductory type questions are found in the General Info section under About Your Trust or Estate. If you need to make changes to the title of the person administering the trust, that can be done in the subsection About Your Trust or Estate.
All of the above information is transferred to your state return. Thus, to make your changes to what has already been entered, go back to the General Info section, and review the subsection About Your Trust or Estate.

no, suggested solution has not helped. I've indicated "Executor" in the appropriate spot. "Executor" is coming out on Form 1041. But on MA Form 2, at the bottom of page 1, the "Title" comes out as "Trustee" rather than "Executor" in the SIGNATURE AREA. The TOP of Form 2, page one has appropriate title as "Executor". I think this situation needs a program fix.
@ronlawcpa-aol-co Could you check in box C of form 2 and make sure that you have checked the box for 'estate' and entered the decedents information? If that hasn't been done yet it would confuse the system as to whether it is a trust or an estate.
I don't see where you mean. Can you be more specific? Please look at the actual Form 2. I don't see a Box C as you indicate. The returns are coming up with "no errors". But "trustee" still comes out in signature area, rather than "Executor". I really think this requires a program update to fix!
