I have been able to convert a CSV file to a PDF file and upload the document.

In TurboTax Online Premium, at the screen Upload your documents, I uploaded the PDF file.

I was required to Review each of my entries.  Consider trying to upload a smaller file to test the operations.

The TurboTax Help How do I upload a CSV file of my crypto transactions? states:

In TurboTax Online, enter 'cryptocurrency' in the search magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner of the screen.  Then select 'Jump to cryptocurrency'.

  • On the Did you have investment income in 2025? screen, select Yes.
  • You may receive the Let's check again for crypto details screen. Answer the questions as they apply to you and select Continue.
  • Select +Add investments if you've already added some crypto info.
  • On the Let's import your tax info screen, select Enter a different way, Cryptocurrency, and then Continue.
  • Follow the onscreen instructions to upload your cryptocurrency.

+1 I am seeing this as well. There is no option to actually upload a CSV that I can find in the app.

The CSV uploads are currently unavailable. The link below will be helpful for additional information.

You can use your summary of transactions separated by the short term and long term holdings based on how long you have held the investments. This is acceptable to the IRS and you have the detail to keep with your tax return files should they request them.

Here's how to mail your statements after the tax return is filed if you are unable to attach a .pdf with summary transactions:

If you're e-filing your tax return, then mail your statements along with Form 8453 to:

Internal Revenue Service

Attn: Shipping and Receiving, 0254

Receipt and Control Branch

Austin, TX 73344-0254

Holding Periods:

  • Long term is a holding period of more than one year (one year plus one day) and receives capital gain tax treatment (0%, 10%, 15%, 20% depending on your regular rate of tax)
  • Short term is a holding period of one year or less and receives ordinary gain tax treatment (your regular rate)

To enter your sale in TurboTax, follow these steps.

  1. Open or continue your return.
  2. Navigate to the investment sales section:
    • TurboTax Online/Mobile: Go to investment sales. If using this application, make sure it is open
    • TurboTax Desktop: Search for investment sales and then select the Jump to link.
      • Or Personal Tab > Continue > I'll choose what I work on > Scroll to Investment Income > Select Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other
  3. Answer Yes to the question Did you sell any of these investments in 2025?
    • If you land on  the Investment sales summary or Your investments and savings screen, select Add More Sales or Add investments.
    • Click this link for more information. Where do I enter Investment Sales?

@DianeW777

1/ your link is broken
2/ why would CSV uploads not be available when there is literally a CSV uploader option.

Your response does not make sense or answer the question. The issue is a bug in the uploader that is blocking the upload of files with a .CSV extension.

The link is placed here and edited in the original answer for you.  The CSV file is being updated and temporarily unavailable. The steps above are for your use should you want to enter summary totals instead of waiting. The conversion from CSV to a .pdf may be easier if you are able to do that.

My goal is to provide you another way to enter the crypto sales.
