Please explain "file a movie from last year"   What are you trying to do?    Do you have a W-2 ?  Or something else?

Hi there! Box D on a W2 is for the “control number” which is a unique number that identifies your W2 and allows for its information to be identified automatically by tax software like TurboTax instead of you having to enter all the information from your W2 manually. Most employers have a control number that would show in this box but some do not. It is not required in order to file taxes. If you do not have a Box D then you can manually type in the information from your W2 and will simply not enter any information in this box. I hope this helps!
