I'm trying to enter 1099-MISC, but the sections to put info are asking me as if it's my business, but I worked for a company as an independent contractor.

It's asking for business address and autofilled my house address...I don't see any fields to put in the info for the company that hired me and pays me.

Even though you worked as an independent contractor for another business, the 1099 MISC income is required to be reported on Schedule C which is for self-employment income.  In the eyes of the IRS, independent contractor work is self-employed business income, therefore you are being asked questions from the Schedule C form that are required to be answered.  Just answer them as they apply to your independent contractor scenario and you will eventually be done with that section.
