To prepare your 2017 tax return you will need to purchase a copy of the TurboTax 2017 software from an authorized retailer.  

The online version is for 2019 taxes only.

Once you have completed your return you will need to print, sign, date and mail your return according to the instructions that print out with your tax return.

That is a fraudulent site. It is not an authorized seller and needs to be flagged. I was tricked into using it. I had to cancel all cards and accounts as well as report this to the credit bureau.

To file a new prior-year return, you'll need to purchase and download that year's TurboTax software for PC or Mac, as TurboTax Online and the mobile app are only available for the current tax year.  Prior-year returns must be paper-filed, as e-filing is no longer available for them. 

Note: Software for tax years 2018 and earlier is no longer available through TurboTax (as of 2023). If you choose to purchase software from a vendor other than TurboTax, we caution you to use due diligence to ensure it is a legitimate vendor.
