what is your question
Also, you can't complete 2020 until you receive your W-2 or other documents from employers, financial institutions etc.
The IRS won't even accept them until late January.
Thanks - my total question got cut off - my total questions was "I'm trying to complete my 2020 return on turbo and its saying that Form 1040 and Schedule A Itemized Deductions are not ready yet. However, both of these forms are available on the IRS website right now. What is the hold up?
because of the time required from when the IRS provides the final, approved forms to the time it takes for TT to assess, program and test any changes and for the IRS to review and approve them.
If you are using TT to estimate your refund / tax due, then it is probably 'close enough'
you can't complete your tax return until you receive W-2s from your employer, etc and that won't be until January. Further, the IRS doesn't accept 2020 returns until late January in any event.
OK thanks - I really can't estimate it due to the mortgage interest section of turbotax since you get a message saying this area is not ready yet.
Thanks,
There are a number of 2020 forms that are still being revised by the IRS. Click on the REVIEW tab to see what form(s) you are waiting for and when it is estimated to be ready (when operational ….and dates are subject to change) ...
