I'm not self employed nor ever been why am I getting charged for self employment filing. Also why am I getting charged for filing state.

They always charge for filing state. When they say "free efile included" they conveniently leave out the fact that this only applies to federal (and the IRS doesn't charge you anything to efile anyway).

When using the TurboTax online editions of Deluxe or higher the state program is an additional charge of $50.

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over with a lower priced edition. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2020 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.
