I'm at the end of filing and on Step 3. Will I be notified when the IRS finalizes my forms so that I can finish filing? Do I need to do something or just wait?

I'm on the last section of filing, the "file" section. I finished step 1 and 2, paying the TurboTax bill and inputting my bank info. Step 3, "Get ready to save and file your returns" says that the IRS hasn't finalized one or more of my forms. Once the forms are finalized, I will be able to access this section. Do I wait for notification that the forms are finalized? How do I finish filing?

Click on Review on the left side of the online program screen.  It will show the forms or schedule that have not yet been finalized and the date they are scheduled to be available.

Mostly, you will not get notified, and Turbotax will not transmit the forms for you.  You must log back in yourself to check (the program updates once or twice a week) and you must finalize and transmit the return yourself.

In a few rare cases, you will be offered an email signup to be notified when delayed forms are finished, but even then, you must log in, finalize and transmit the return yourself.
