You are correct.  If you were not in school at all last year, and turned 19 before December 31, 2016, your mother cannot claim you.  However, since she did (electronically), you will have to mail-in your return.  The process from there will take a little while, because the IRS will send out letters to determine whether your mother had the right to claim you or not, and they may ask you for information as well (your income will be enough proof, however, if you were not in school).  But your mother should lose the claim on you.

Now, if you didn't turn 19 until this year, the situation changes somewhat.  You will then need to prove that you were in the home for less than 6 months.  If you don't, your mother can claim that you did not cover at least half of your own support and that, since you  "lived" there, that she still had the right to claim you.  However, if you have the proof you were no longer living in the home, she won't win that argument either.
