I logged on to do my 2017 tax return, and i forgot my 2016 taxes were rejected how do i fix this

At this point it is too late to electronically file your 2016 return because the IRS now are taking the 2017 returns electronically. In order to send your return from a prior year (2016), you will need to print and mail the tax return.
