I log into free Turbo Tax and never upgrade and we only have Social Security income and 1 1099 DIV and 1 1099 INT. And I am being charged $129! Help?

If your Dividend income and your interest income total is over $1,500 then you need to use a Schedule B on your tax return.  The Free online edition does not support Schedule B, so that you will need to upgrade to the Deluxe edition.

The Deluxe edition is currently $79.  You also seem to have used a state tax return program which is an additional $59.  For a total of $129

Use these steps to downgrade your TurboTax Online product to a less costly or free edition:

1. Open your return if you haven't already.
2. In the left menu, select Switch Products. 
3. Select Downgrade.

Note: TurboTax Free Edition is for customers who are filing Simple Form 1040 Returns only (no schedules except for Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit and Student Loan Interest). Roughly 37% of taxpayers qualify. If you have additional forms or attachments, you’ll need to use a different TurboTax product.

You can also clear and start over to switch to a different product. This option erases your information to give you a fresh start in the new product you've chosen.
