I am a Flight Attendant for a major carrier and my Base is Dallas, Austin as Satellite but I can never be awarded trips to/from Austin as I’m too junior with the company. Therefore I need to be in Dallas for reserve 18 days per month so I l’m forced to rent a place there. Of course I’m not reimbursed by the company. Can I deduct the cost of my Dallas rental? Thanks!

If you are a W-2 employee, then, sorry, job-related expenses ---like your rent in the other city-- are not deductible on your federal tax return.
Job-related expenses were eliminated as a federal deduction for W-2 employees by the tax laws that changed for 2018 and beyond. Your state tax laws might be different in AL, AR, CA, HI, MN, NY or PA.
