I live at a hotel and receive "bonus points" for every dollar I spend on hotel rent. I redeem the points for $100 Visa debit cards. Is this taxable income?

I redeemed my hotel bonus points for $500 - $600 in Visa debit cards in 2016.  Is this taxable income?

No, the redemption of your points into a Visa debit card is not considered taxable income.

Instead it is viewed as a rebate or discount on the money that you have spent at the hotel.
