I keep getting a-f1040-516 error and I don't know what to do

So I know I should've filed and paid by now, but life happened and I am now trying to file taxes for the first time on my own after making money creating online content and so I owe $$$ but every time I file and submit it rejects me with the above error code. 

I spoke with someone on the phone and she said it was because I was filed as a dependent on my parents taxes. What do I need to do? I saw some people saying I need to mail-in now, but with the 15th approaching I am getting very anxious because I don't want to mail-in just for that to also be rejected. 

I am new to all of this and a student.

You must print and mail your return.  When you print to file, you will get a cover sheet with instructions.    Sign your forms where indicated.  There will be a list of forms you need to send with your return.  Make sure you put those forms on top of the return.  Put in an envelope and mail to the address on the cover sheet.  

Use a mailing service that notifies you when the return has been received.  Make sure you check the box that someone else can claim you.   If your parents claimed you, you cannot claim yourself.
