I just recieved a payment from tax products

The amount was 500 dollars less than what turbo tax came up with,

If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.

Did you check what the IRS sent ?   https://www.irs.gov/refunds

Did you get a $500 advance on your refund earlier this year ?

Or could it be for a state refund?  Federal and state come separately at different times from different places.

The IRS amount was $1258

The deposit made from a third party called tax products was for $723

On the irs website it says amount approved 1253.98. But hasnt been sent yet.

Have you contacted Santa Barbara Tax Products Group concerning this deposit?  A stimulus payment may also be paid through that group.
