I just purchased an iMac. My old PC had computer 2021 TT for Windows. I will purchase TT 2022 for the iMac. Is there a way to import the 2021 returns to 2022 iMac TT?

Copy the 2021 tax data file from the old computer to the new computer.  The 2021 tax data file has a file extension of .tax2021 and is stored, by default, in the TurboTax folder of the Documents directory.

When you start a new 2022 tax return you will be asked if you want to transfer the 2021 tax data.  Browse to the location where you copied the 2021 tax data on the new computer.

Did you save the tax file from 2021 on a flash drive?   You can do the transfer of 2021 to the new 2022 return from a flash drive.   You have to do that transfer at the very beginning, before you enter any other new 2022 data

you can transfer the xxx.tax2021 (no conversion from windows to mac necessary) (c:\users\user name\documents\turbotax folder to a thumb/flash drive and from there to the new computer.   or even email it to yourself as an attachment.  save to desktop of new computer so you know where it is.

 Open TurboTax for Mac and choose File > New Tax Return . it will search for prior year file. if it doesn't find it you can browse to the desktop and select the file.

any pdf's of prior year returns should also be transferred.

@counter914 Make sure you understand that if you have been using the CD/download to prepare your tax returns with TurboTax, your tax files are not stored online.   They are only stored on your own hard drive, so before you throw away that old computer, save your tax files and/or print out hard copies of the returns.
