I just paid a bunch of money using Turbo tax and I asked for a copy of the Federal and state return, I was told that they had to download and would get in touch with me when it is done that was 2 days ago. Please advise Richard Hollis [email address removed]

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

Or -

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state. 

This will take you back to the 2020 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen.  Then click on Print Center.  Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.  Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets

I don't know how many attempts I have made to do just that. They sent me an email saying they would have to download my info and would notify me when it was completed, I can't  efile till I get the info.

Don't know who you talked to or maybe you misunderstood, TurboTax does not mail or email your tax returns to you.  You download the PDF of your tax returns yourself.

Are you referring to the 2020 tax returns?  If so, you have to pay the TurboTax account fees before you will be able to view, print or download the complete tax return before filing.

Or are you needing the 2019 AGI so that you can e-file the 2020 tax return?
