Depends if you just filed your 2018 now. If you filed your 2018 return late (hopefully you mailed it in & did not use the Online version for your 2018 return), then you would enter zero for both of you. If you filed a Joint return in 2018, then enter the same AGI for both of you, do not split it. If she did not file a 2018 return, then enter zero for her AGI. If she filed her own tax return for 2018. then enter the AGI from her 2018 return.

What do you mean "you JUST filed a 2018 return " ???
Did you just recently mail in the return ??? If so use a single ZERO for the 2018 AGI to efile the 2019 return.
If you mean you used the current ONLINE program to efile a 2018 return then post back for more instructions.
First let me say thank you for your help. I think I asked that question wrong. Last week Aug 1st ,I just filed my 2018 as joint (myself only employed). I’m mailing it in on Monday. Wednesday night I tried efiling 2019 joint as well (myself only employed) . I entered $0 as the agi for 2018. However it . It was rejected. I entered $0 because back in July I requested a copy of my transcript from the irs and it said $0 for my agi. I’m assuming it’s 0 because I had not yet filed 2018 taxes when I made the request for the transcript. So as of today the Irs physically hasn’t seen my 2018 only Turbo has. So to when I re-file my 2019 do I enter $0 or the new agi that I got on Aug 1st. I apologize for any confusion.
Yes you should enter 0 for the 2018 AGI since it wasn't filed on time is is not in the IRS database. But if you already tried 0 and it rejected then you will have to print and mail 2019. Try again. Maybe it's rejecting for something else.
By the way, how did you prepare 2018? Did you use the Desktop program installed on your computer? Or fill it out by hand? Online is only for 2019.
Yes 2018 was just filed . Our son passed away last year and we had a horrible time dealing with every day life. Now that we have 2 grandkids to raise it’s time to get back to everyday life. I’m sorry I had to share such a personal tragedy online. We usually have an account do our taxes . I wanted to give it a shot to save money
no 2018 hasn’t been mailed in yet. Mailing on Monday.
No 2018 hasn’t been mailed in yet. Mailing on Monday.
I installed it on the desk top. It said my 2019 were rejected because my spouses Agi was incorrect .
Again I apologize for any confusion . I’m trying to reply back and deal with 2 children . I do appreciate you helping. I didn’t know where or what to do.
So sorry for your situation. Did you also enter 0 for the spouse AGI? You need to enter 0 for each of you. Don't understand why it's rejecting. You might have to print and mail 2019. Be sure to mail each year in separate envelopes. And federal and state separate.
Did you do 2019 online or buy the 2019 Desktop program?
@edwinburgos2635 So sorry for your loss, yes as I stated in my above answer you should enter zero for yourself & your spouse. Wishing you the best.
