At the beginning of the Step-By-Step process, look for Personal Info > You & Your Family > Your Personal Info Summary. Next to the first box, click EDIT and change the selection at State of Residence.

I think TT asks you specific questions about whether you were a full time or part-time resident of your State. I believe it also asks you whether you were a resident in two states and then asks you to put the State names.
