I imported a 1099-B from Edward Jones and it shows that it imported, but it doesn't have an amount shown, in the same way that the 1099-DIVs show amounts. Did it import?

This 1099-B (the paper copy that I have in my hand) shows an unadjusted loss, but the import summary shows no amount and when I click for details it also shows no amount.

It sounds as if the information did not import properly. You may wish to delete the 1099-DIV which was imported and enter it manually, so you can correct the entry. Here are directions to delete and then you may click on add another 1099-DIV to re-enter it.

  • Click on the Federal Taxes tab,
  • Click on Wages and Income
  • You may see a prompt for Job(W-2) if not,
  • Click on I’ll choose what to work on
  • Click on All Income and Show All
  • Click by Interest and Dividends beside the blue bar chart   and Show More
  • Then Revisit for  Dividends on 1099-DIV
  • Click the trashcan icon next to Edit
  • Select Yes to confirm
