I have tried to use turbotax in the past but was never able to file through you (issue with IRS Pin). Why am I not getting 20% off for filing through my dad's referral?

Try these steps to troubleshoot:

Important: Do not start directly at TurboTax.com. You must come to TurboTax.com using the link that your dad provided

1. Go back to the email or link that your dad sent you and and make sure to click on the link.
2. Select your TurboTax product, sign in, and start on your tax return. (If you already set up an account at TurboTax, just sign in to work on your return.)
3. When you get to the Review your order screen (in the File section) you'll see the discounted price along with the message, Your discount has been applied.

If Your Referral Discount for TurboTax is Still Not Applied

If you followed the steps above and your affiliate discount has not been applied, try https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1900966-how-do-i-delete-cookies. Then:

1. Go back to the email or social post that your dad shared, and click on the link.
2. This will take you to the special TurboTax page that shows a 20% discount.
3. Sign in to TurboTax and be sure to select the Take me to my return button.
4. Select Tax Tools on the left, and then Tools.
5. Now select the My Fees button. It should show the discount.
