I understand this can be frustrating because
e-filing is so convenient. However, I have included helpful information
and articles below to better assist you.
When you have finished your entries on TurboTax it will sometimes indicate that you need to paper file. This means that you print out your tax return on paper
yourself and then you mail it to the IRS at the address that is shown
on the page of instructions that is the first page that prints.
Depending on your situation, you may be able to change back to e-file. I have included instructions for changing to e-file and paper filing below.
The IRS web site for paper filing Federal Return Addresses Please chose your state on the link and follow the instructions for where to file your Federal Return, as Federal Return addresses depend on What Forms, Filing Status and What State you Live in. https://www.irs.gov/uac/where-to-file-paper-tax-returns-with-or-without-a-payment
If the File by mail option isn’t available, you probably previously selected to pay your TurboTax fees through your tax refund. In order to file by mail, you’ll need to pay with a credit or debit card (or be using the Federal Free Edition of TurboTax).
