You are confused. If you are filing a joint return, neither one of you is Head of Household. That is only for couples who are living apart as unmarried. When you file a joint return, ALL of your combined income, deductions and credits, and dependents, go on that ONE return for both of you.
By filing as “Married Filing Jointly” you will each get the $4050 personal exemptions and the standard deduction of $12,600 for a married couple.
You can file a joint return even if one of the spouses had little or no income.
