I have started filing my 2025 tax. Initially i was not able to locate my 2024 turbo tax file to upload. I have found it now but not sure how or where to upload it?

To transfer the 2024 tax data to the 2025 return you must do this when first starting the 2025 return.  You will have to clear your tax return and start over.

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over. Click on Switch Products on the lower left side of the program screen while working on the 2025 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over

You can't transfer 2024 into an already started 2025 return.  You would have to start 2025 completely over.  Where is your 2024 tax file?  Are you using the Online version but used Desktop last year?

You can transfer it again but doing this will also clear out all your current entries. If you haven't filed, registered or paid you can try to clear and start over. This FAQ might be wrong, Clear and start over is now under Switch Products section.
