I have private health insurance however my kids have masshealth through their mom. how do i do the health insurance info on my taxes

It depends. When you enter the health insurance section, the first question you will be asked is whether everyone had health insurance.  You are responsible for everyone who you are claiming on the return to have health insurance, even if you personally did not provide it.  That question will be a yes.

The next question asks is if you had the insurance through the Marketplace.  Marketplace Insurance is marked on Form 1095-A.  If anyone on your return has their insurance reported on Form 1095-A (not 1095-B or 1095-C), then you will say yest to this question, and then the selection I will choose who had it and when.  Then you will fill out the information based on the Form 1095-A so that the Premium Tax Credit may be correctly reconciled, which will happen on the following screens that are generated.

However, if everyone's insurance is reported on Forms 1095-B and 1095-C (no one had Form 1095-A), then you will answer no to the Marketplace question.  And that will be all of the information TurboTax will need if that's the case for the Health Insurance questions.
