If you have been instructed that you need to use an IP PIN, you can get one by following the directions at the IRS link below:

https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-fraud-scams/get-an-identity-protection-pin

You can update the IP PIN information in TurboTax by following the steps below

• Federal tab  
• Other Tax Situations
• Scroll down to Other Return Info.
• Choose Yes, I did under the Identity Protection PIN question and Start (or Revisit.)
• The next screen asks:  "Did you or any of your dependents get an IP PIN from the IRS for this year's taxes?" 
• Select Yes and then add your required information
