The 2020 tax year will not be over until December 31 of this year.   A "2020 return" would be prepared next year.    The current tax year that people are preparing is a 2019 return for the 2019 tax year.   Please explain your situation further with that in mind.

What tax year return did you actually start???   Hopefully, you didn't start preparing a 2018 return in the current online TurboTax, which is for the 2019 tax year only.  If you DID, we can tell you how to clear it and start over to prepare a 2019 return, and can tell you how to prepare a 2018 return in the 2018 desktop software (CD/download).

But right now, we are confused by the tax years you mentioned in your question.

Tax year 2019 is the current tax year being reported to the IRS and the states.
