No problem at all. TurboTax will walk you through each step of the process. It'll be easier than you think and you can post another question as often as necessary just like you did here.
1. Complete all of your personal information first under the "Personal Info" tab.
2. You can follow the screen prompts from one thing to the next, or you can enter the documents you know that you have (see the example below).
3. Using the white title bar near the top you can proceed from one step to the next.
- Federal Taxes
- State Taxes - information flows from the federal.
- Review
- File
4. You can decide if you want to have a check mailed or direct deposit if you have a refund.
5. You can e-file (recommended) or send by mail. TurboTax will ask you what you want to do for each step.
For example, if you wanted to enter your W2, you can use the steps here. They will work for almost all entries with a few minor exceptions which likely will not be needed for you.
You can go directly to the area to enter your W2 in TurboTax online
1. Sign into your account and select your current return.
2. Select My Account on the top right and then select Tools
3. Select Topic Search (see attached image)
4. Search for W2 and select Go
5. Follow the interview to enter your information.
