Thanks a lot for clarifying! My mom just decided to get an IP PIN for protection. I'm curious as to which section on the form does the dependent's IP PIN indicated once it's e-filed via TurboTax? I'm only seeing two sections here:
The dependent's IP PIN does not appear on the tax return form, but it is transmitted as part of the e-file. The boxes that you see on Form 1040 are for the primary taxpayer, and for the spouse on a joint return. You enter the dependent's IP PIN in TurboTax in the same place that you enter the taxpayer's IP PIN.
