I have lost my tax file for 2015. Can I reload my 2014 tax file and redo my 2015 taxes then import them into my 2016 taxes?

I have been using Turbo tax for 10 or so years.  After  filing 2015 taxes I lost my tax file before I made a backup.  I have tax files for 2014 and earlier.  I didn't print a copy for myself.  I have rentals and long term capitol losses that carry over.  Can I use my 2014 tax file and (for myself) redo my 2015 taxes and import the 2015 file into my 2016 return as i prepare it?
