Do you mean the child tax credit on your 2020 return? You get the child tax credit for a child who was UNDER the age of 17 at the end of 2020---if a child turned 17 in 2020 you do not get the CTC, instead you get the $500 credit for other dependents for that child. If your child was born in 2020 make sure you said the child lived with you the whole year. And make sure you entered their Social Security numbers. Sometimes it helps to delete the child and re-enter their information in My Info if a credit is not showing up correctly.
If your child is 17 or older then you will only be able to get other dependent credit for that child and not the Child Tax Credit.
If both children are under 17 then you might want to delete and renter the children. Please make sure the box under the child's SSN is not accidently checked. If your child was born in 2020 then please select that the child lived with you the whole year.
Please see What is the Child Tax Credit? for additional information.
