I have had skin cancer on my face several times in the past. I now have a procedure done a couple of times a year that scrapes the cells off my face as a preventative.

I have had skin cancer in the past and now have a procedure done twice per year that removes cells from the surface of my face in order to prevent future cancer.  This is not done by a doctor.  Is this procedure deductible?

If the procedure was prescribed by a physician, you can deduct the expenses under medical deductions.
